Biblical Scriptures promoting Pastor's Support Ministry Nehemiah 13:10 And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses' hands were heavy; and they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down the sun. Purpose Mission The true leader, gospel preacher, and pastor of any church is truly worthy of all joys, happiness, and provision that life can afford, Feeling that he, who is shepherd of our church. Is deserving of any and every good thing, this ministry happily accepts the task of helping to make this sure. We seek to have our pastor smell the sweet aroma from the flower of our gratitude, taste the nectar from the cup of our generosity, and feel the power of our love through what we do for him while he can realize them. These gestures are not done for mere Illustration but to inspire him to attain the high Ideals of Christian ministry. Membership Duties We are commanded to help those who are trying to carry on the work of Kingdom building and to care for the servants of the Master. Philippians 4:16-19 tells us, "For even In Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity. Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odor of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well-pleasing to God, But my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." When work begins In the Mount Carmel Baptist Church Pastor's Support Ministry and you have given your substance, time, energy, and talents, you already have stored up innumerable blessings that you can never exhaust. Become a part of a team that works together providing support, encouragement, and inspiration to our pastor. Let me support him without striving to possess him. Let me lift his hands without shackling them, Let me give him any help that he may devote more time to working for the salvation of others and less time to gratifying my vanity. Let me work for him as the pastor of all the members and not compel him to spend precious time In pleasing me, Let me be unselfish in what I do for him and In what I ask him to do for me. Amen |
